iPhone 15 Plus: The iPhone family of products from Apple is growing, meaning a wider range of options for every user. The iPhone 15 Plus occupies a special place — offering the Pro Max’s big screen at a more palatable price.
The 15 Plus is much the same, even with the refined design, better cameras, and switch over to USB-C that we had been asking for.
If you want a big-screen iPhone but you do not want to spend Pro Max prices, the 15 Plus could be the sweet spot. Here is an in-depth look at what it includes.
Design – Lighter. Softer Sleeker
From afar, the iPhone 15 Plus bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor. But small revisions to the finish produce a real difference in the hand. Apple has endowed the phone with a matte glass back and color-infused aluminum frame, resulting in a premium but somehow soft look and feel.
The new pastel-like color tones — especially the pink and blue — make the watch look classier and less garish than previous versions.
It’s still IP68 dust and water resistant, but with the Lightning port jettisoned in favour of USB-C, this iPhone is more future-proof and flexible device for charging or data transfer.
Display: Spacious and Bright
The real star of the show here is the 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, which brings you vibrant colors, deep blacks, and plenty of sharpness.
Thanks to HDR10 and Dolby Vision, watching videos or scrolling through items is immersive.
One is the 60Hz refresh rate, which feels a bit dated now that many Android rivals offer 120Hz even on more budget handsets. However, for the majority of users, the screen is more than adequate for daily use.
Performance:
High-End Hardware This processor combination is top-of-the-line and the device handles it with ease on a daily basis.
Under the hood, Apple has installed the iPhone 15 Plus with the A16 Bionic chip, the same processor found in the iPhone 14 Pro. The end result is the perfect combination of gaming and multitasking performance for all the demands of modern gaming and everything else. Apps launch immediately, and everything feels fast, despite the 60Hz cap.
Combined with 6GB of RAM and iOS 17, the device provides the kind of long term software support and performance consistency Niagara users are accustomed to. This year you even get the Dynamic Island feature, which replaces the notch and makes multitasking with notifications and apps better.
Camera: Steady As You Go
Apple has improved the main sensor to a 48MP wide camera and in good it produces great images in daylight and bright conditions. 24MP images with detail and color accuracy.
There’s also a 12MP ultra-wide camera, which is decent for landscapes and group shots but lacks the sharpness of the main lens. The iPhone 15 Plus also brings 2x optical zoom (along with sensor cropping) to the iPhone for the first time – a neat way to give you more photographic options to play with without forcing you to pick up a dedicated telephoto lens.
At the front, the 12MP selfie camera is still impressive, particularly when it comes to FaceTime, video calls and social media.
Battery Life: Impressive up to the very end
The iPhone 15 Plus delivers one of the best batteries in any iPhone. I get well over a full day with moderate-to-heavy usage. The A16 Bionic also allows me to push 7-hours of screen-on time depending on usage.
The port that the phone charges through is USB-C this time, but fast charging hasn’t improved — it’s still limited to about 20W, meaning it will get you 50 percent of the way in 30 minutes. There’s even support for MagSafe wireless charging.
