As the technical agency for SFURTI implementation in the NE, the team of consultants led by Mr. Kathi Chishi, this division conducts in depth research and analysis of traditional industries that can be potentially explored and incentivized in terms of scalability, chain of supply and employment generation. Currently, 10 such projects are in the pipeline with more in the scope analysis stage.
The core objective of the scheme is to create an opportunity for the local economy to be boosted through the creation of Common Facility Centers (CFCs) in locations where indigenous items can be successfully transitioned into viable products for mass usage and consumption through technological as well as innovational intervention. Apart from this effort, turn-key projects can also be taken up wherein existing entities with the potential for scaling can be further strengthened and developed through the SFURTI mode of intervention.
